For over 18 years, The AAEAHP has displayed archival information, oral history interviews, and artifacts tracing the history of educators, civil rights advocates & other outstanding individuals.
are you ready to make history?
The Digital Interactive Wall Project (DIWP) will use high technology systems to bring alive the history and contributions of Dallas County’s African American educators and education advocates. Maps, artifacts, video and voice recordings, holograms and more will come alive to tell the unique stories of the titans who laid the foundation of education in Dallas County. Ultimately, “this experience and "The Digital Wall", when completed, will be a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate learning environment designed to immerse all museum visitors in OUR rich history.
"“We must go beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodden depths of the wilderness and travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey;”
― John Hope Franklin

Dear Dr. Alfred L. Roberts,
I am honored to have been selected as the recipient of the African American Education Archives and History Program scholarship. As I complete my education at Texas Woman’s University, I am very thankful for this scholarship of $2,000. Helping me reduce my financial burden has allowed me to obtain school books and pay tuition to further my schooling. Through your generous support, I can continue and achieve my educational and career goals to become a Physical Education teacher.

When I was growing up my mother would take me to plays & museums and we would talk about life.
Those times helped shape who I became.
